You didn’t imagine it. The whispers were real.
We’re going back to our roots. To the very moment the Colour of Sound sparks first ignited.
After years of deep space hibernation, the time is finally right to bring back one of the most infamous psychedelic brands of the scene, the return of the Colour of Sound is here…
Almost 15 years ago, our very first intergalactic artist to ever grace the Colour of Sound stage was none other than U-Recken — the legendary psytrance voyager from Dacru Records! The strong connection with U-Recken continued after his first set with us, where Colour of Sound collaborated with his Tree of Life Festival Turkey event & journey via Australia and the world...
So for our grand return, on Saturday the 23rd of August, it felt right to reunite with U-Recken performing a MASSIVE 4 HOUR EXTENDED SET, diving deep into the hypnotic realms of pure psychedelic trance in the industrial belly of Melbourne’s most iconic venues The Industrique for a wild night of cosmic chaos and laser-fuelled lunacy!
This ain’t no regular hoe-down — it’s a psychedelic stampede inside a fully decked-out warehouse dimension...
Expect our signature Colour of Sound experience with the full shebang:
✨ FULL SCALE PSYCHEDELIC DÉCOR & VISUALS
deeply trippy, tasty, and totally over the top
🌍 INTERGALACTIC PSYTRANCE HEADLINER
teleporting straight from the global psyverse
💃 ASTRAL MISFITS & EARTHLINGS ALIKE
a gathering full of weirdos, wanderers, and wild-hearted souls
Deep bush vibes, smack in the industrial heart of the city.
Mark it. Tattoo it. Yell it into the void.
This isn’t just a party. It's journey from the beginning of Colour of Sound’s story, all the way through to now. It’s a full-blown psychedelic voyage...

U-RECKEN'S STORY:
As a dedicated psychedelic artist U-Recken has managed to capture the essence of psychedelic music. He takes psytrance to its right place as intelligent music, making use of bass, rhythm and melodies as a carrier for the message of light, love and eternal freedom of thought.
U-Recken has played at majority of the largest festivals across Europe, North & South America, Asia and Australia for decades. In between producing and djing, U-Recken is also the Founder of the internationally loved Tree of Life Festival in the picturesque mountains of Turkey nearby Izmir.
His debut album 'Aquatic Serenade' came out in 2006, followed by the equally iconic second album 'Deeper into Man' in 2008. Since 2011, U-Recken joined forces with Belgium based label Dacru Records after many great cooperations with DigiCult. A third full album 'A Light at the End of the World' came shortly after in 2013. The fourth full album 'Flames of Equilibrium' sets another benchmark for quality psychedelic music for the soul. A fifth album 'Nothing is Sacred' was released in 2017. Since then many more releases followed in the form of digital singles and eps.
